How can a conference stage embody an industry that reinvents itself every year?

The New Global Sport Conference brings together international decision-makers from sports, esports, gaming and entertainment in Riyadh. Keynotes, panels, reveals and strategic conversations share one central platform.

For several editions, I developed stage designs for FischerAppelt. Each iteration needed its own character while remaining recognisable as part of one evolving conference identity. The images shown in this case are concept renderings created during the development of the designs; they document how the stage architecture, lighting and media language were shaped before realisation.

The 2024 conference stage with sculptural white block volumes.
2024 · White sculptural block volumes established the spatial identity of the series.

One identity. New spatial answers.

Angular volumes, deep black planes, luminous edges and large media surfaces create a visual language between physical sport and digital competition. The architecture reads as powerful in the room as it does through the camera.

Rather than creating a static backdrop, the design provides a family of spatial elements that can be reconfigured, recoloured and activated through content for each new edition.

The stage is not a backdrop. It is the conference made spatial.

Built to evolve from edition to edition.

A conference stage must support very different moments: intimate conversations, large panels, keynote speeches, product reveals and ceremonies. Clear sightlines, camera perspectives and flexible access are part of the design from the beginning.

In 2024, white sculptural block volumes established the spatial DNA. For the 2025 realisation, the system evolved into deep-black angular blocks with gold light lines and expansive media surfaces — recognisably related, yet with a distinctly new character.

Recognised across international event awards.

The distinctions honour the New Global Sport Conference as an overall experience and FischerAppelt’s full-service production. My contribution within the awarded project was the stage design and its visual development.
