A journey from heritage to a shared future.
How can a national pavilion turn heritage, identity and future ambition into one continuous spatial journey?
The Kuwait Pavilion for Expo 2025 Osaka presents the country as a Visionary Lighthouse: open to the world, rooted in its cultural heritage and looking ahead to a shared future.
During the pitch phase, I translated this narrative into a sequence of spatial ideas, atmospheres, animations and visitor moments. The images and hero film shown here are concept renderings from the presentation and design development — not photographs of the completed pavilion.

A pavilion conceived as a sequence of changing worlds.
The journey moves between origin and possibility, intimate encounters and immersive panoramas. Light, media, objects and architecture do not illustrate separate chapters — they build one dramaturgical arc.
Each room changes the visitor's scale and perspective while recurring spherical forms connect the experience from beginning to finale.
From a single pearl to an entire horizon.
A first encounter that sharpens perception.
A luminous object becomes orientation point, storyteller and threshold. The prologue condenses the pavilion's themes before the journey opens into larger spatial worlds.
History becomes a landscape to explore.
Warm horizons, tactile surfaces and interactive tables create a collective setting for stories of origin, exchange and transformation.
Many voices form one living portrait.
Suspended spheres and responsive media turn individual stories into a spatial constellation. The visitor moves through a field of perspectives rather than observing culture from a distance.
The journey opens into a shared horizon.
The finale expands the narrative into a panoramic future landscape. Personal wishes, collective ambition and Kuwait's role as an open, connected nation converge beneath the dome.
Internationally recognised as a complete pavilion experience.
The distinctions recognise the realised Kuwait Pavilion and the work of the full interdisciplinary team led by insglück, NÜSSLI and LAVA. My contribution to the awarded project lay in the pitch presentation, scenographic concept development and 3D visualisation shown in this case.

Making the narrative spatial before it exists.
My contribution focused on the pitch presentation, scenographic development and 3D visualisation. The renderings made atmosphere, visitor perspective and the relationship between media and space tangible at an early stage.
